Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Software Engineer (Backend – Python) with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic development team at Corestrat. You will be working closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to build, enhance, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern Python frameworks.

Responsibilities

• • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs using Python and related frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django).

• • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• • Write clean, testable, and scalable code that adheres to software engineering best practices.

• • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.

• • Debug and resolve technical issues across the backend services.

• • Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging tools, and technologies.

Requirements

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• • 2+ years of experience in backend development using Python.

• • Proficiency in at least one of the following Python frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, or Django.

• • Good understanding of relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries.

• • Experience working with REST APIs, version control (Git), and containerization tools like Docker.

• • Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• • Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn new technologies.

• • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• • Exposure to frontend technologies like React.

• • Familiarity with NoSQL databases or message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

• • Job location options: We have offices in Singapore and Bangalore; hybrid work mode. We are looking for an independent self-starter who takes initiative and is not afraid of video calls at odd hours to accommodate our global business footprint!
