Position Overview

As a Senior/Lead Test Engineer at Corestrat, you will spearhead the testing initiatives across all our products, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability. Collaborating closely with the product design and development teams, you will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, leveraging automation tools and best practices to streamline our testing procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and addressing any issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless user experiences across our diverse product portfolio.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product design team to define comprehensive product testing parameters.
• Develop detailed test plans and create effective test cases tailored to each product.
• Execute quality assurance activities, including performance testing, using advanced testing methodologies and tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot any errors or inconsistencies in the testing process, continuously refining procedures for maximum efficiency.
• Document final QA and test procedures, providing guidance and training to the quality assurance team.
• Ensure all testing activities adhere to company and industry standards, delivering meticulous reports to management for review.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in testing practices, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, preferably in a product based environment.
• Proficiency in testing tools such as Apache, Selenium, JMeter, and Microsoft Azure.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing methodologies, with a focus on automation and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to address testing challenges.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High-level technical writing skills, ensuring clear and concise documentation of testing procedures and results.
• Familiarity with Python and UI frameworks such as Angular and React is considered a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Working independently with little supervision and lead a team of full stack developers.
• Taking responsibility for own work and the dev team.
• Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships. Such errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role requires negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy.
• Having an influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).

Required Competencies

• Knowledge of Python, Data Structure, and algorithms.
• Experience as a backend developer with Flask, Django, etc frameworks.
• Experience in developing REST APIs and a good understanding of MVC concepts.
• Experience in system design, database design, and technologies, including web architecture. Preferably experience with Azure SQL, MS SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
• Strong experience in working with Azure DevOps and a solid understanding of the Agile development life cycle.
• Solid understanding of software testing practices.
• Creating High-level architectures for projects, including creating/updating business requirements documentation for the product or feature ideation.
• Experience with GIT CI/CD, Azure Cloud, and Azure DevOps, including writing functional specifications and creating sprints and timelines.

Preferred Competencies

• Knowledge of frontend (Html/CSS/Javascript/React) and application development.
• Knowledge of C# and .Net.
• Knowledge of Python libraries pandas and NumPy.
• Knowledge of banking and finance.
• Graduation in Computer Science.
